FMC Corporation Announces Retirement of Barry Crawford, Vice President, Transformation Management

FMC Corporation (NYSE: FMC), an agricultural sciences company, today announced that Barry Crawford, vice president, Transformation Management, has decided to retire effective November 1, 2024, after 13 years of dedicated service to the company.

Crawford joined FMC in early 2012, bringing more than 25 years of global manufacturing, supply chain and engineering experience in the specialty chemical industry. He served as vice president of Operations for 12 years before transitioning to his current role as vice president, Transformation Management in 2023.

During his tenure, Crawford made significant contributions to FMC's success, including leading efforts to reduce the company's injury rate by 90% between 2012 and 2023, earning FMC five American Chemistry Council (ACC) Company of the Year awards. His commitment to safety has been unwavering, and he will be remembered as the "Father of TH!NK. SAFE.," a safety manifesto he created in 2012 that has become a cornerstone of FMC's safety culture.

Crawford's leadership in initiating and executing multiple manufacturing excellence programs at FMC has generated positive returns, with notable highlights at the company's Green River and Rønland facilities, where improved safety records were achieved alongside record production rates. He also played a key role in the successful acquisition and integration of DuPont's manufacturing and supply chain operations into FMC.

In addition to his operational achievements, Crawford has been a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, leading the Gender Equity Task Force and driving increased representation of women at FMC.

"Barry's contributions to FMC have been immeasurable, and while we will miss his leadership, we are grateful for all that he has done for our company," said Pierre Brondeau, CEO of FMC Corporation. "We congratulate him on his remarkable career and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement."
